Heart still pumping, he started to calm and to force himself think of where the werebeast left his treasures. He noticed the map granted by the Easter's spirit and carefully picked it up. It was partially torn apart by the werebeast's attack, but Proscope was an experienced scout, so he effortlessly pieced it back together and went on searching for the hideout.Half and hour later, he saw distant shapes of what seemed to be some long forgotten ruins or a crypt reeking with centuries-old mold and mustiness. "That crazy Carter would leap inside that thing without any back thought" - thought Proscope. He didn't like the idea because he knew what may lurk in the dark... And yet the wish to get the precious eggs back overpowered all of his fears. With a swift pace of a master-scout, Proscope was moving across the dense thicket toward the ruins. His eagle was flying high above the forest, peeking down in search of ambushes. But this time it was all silent...Proscope approached the entrance of what now looked more like a cave. Or a tomb... As cautiously as possible, he stepped inside. The exact same smell that he could not stand along with a reek of wet dog fur almost made him lose his senses. It seemed as if the sound was coming from underground.It turned out that the carrots had started to come alive.And it was all the Wolf Boss's fault. It was he who had talked his companions into ruining the holiday. They were to take the eggs from the rabbit by feeding him evil carrots that contained the evil gene.Hiding in the wolf's cave, the ferret, the fox, and the raccoon, led by the wolf, devised a wicked plan to add their evil carrot seeds to the packet with the good ones, so that they could destroy all the good carrots in the harvest!"All the Easter eggs will be ours!" exclaimed the raccoon from on top of the badger that he used as a steed. He laughed mischievously as he imagined the scene."All ours!" the fox and the ferret chimed in, rubbing their paws together in anticipation of the chocolate feast.Helping them in this endeavor was an army of wolves that had sworn to serve the Wolf Boss faithfully many years ago.
