The two legendary warlords - Cao Cao and Lu Bu fought many battles against each other. One of the longest battles was the Battle of Yan Province, where both of them were aiming to take control of the territory and secure it as a base for conquering other territories. The battle lasted for at least one hundred days, with both sides forced to withdraw and re-station again multiple times, as the armies on both sides were lack of provisions and resources. This battle ended with an indecisive conclusion... Cao Cao came under attack and was defeated. However, he managed to escape.Within two years, Cao Cao was able to recapture all the cities in Yan Province and executed Lu Bu.
