We get this question every time we release tech update, so I thought I should clarify the difference between content and tech versions. If you see a Zombie Castaways update that contains 2 numbers (ex. 1.11 or 2.23 or 3.22), it means the version offers new content. You can expect a timed location or a storyline update, or new buildings, plants, quests, etc. Game versions with 3 numbers (like ...3.9.2 or 3.22.1) only contain bug fixes and/or technical improvements. Our human devs try to make the gaming experience as smooth as possible for everyone across all the platforms on all the devices. So if the game asks you to update, again and again, it's for a very important reason someone out there can't properly play Zombie Castaways, and the devs need the fix to reach them ASAP. When we release an update, we first offer it in stores for manual downloading. We monitor the feedback and statistics and only then make the update mandatory. That's when the game takes you to the store the next time you open it. Now you know it all!

Zolians, where did they come from? It's a funny story with layers of references, humans. Our dev nerds decided to name the aliens this way to pay tribute to our big brother, Freebie Link . In this social-network game, Zolian is a mystical plant. What so mystical about it? Well, it has an interesting origin story. One day the ZI support team received a message from a player "My Zolyan is missing! How can I get it back?". Nobody knew what a Zolyan was. So the devs decided to ...make a new plant, as mystical as the players' request, and send it to him. And that's how Zolian started growing in Zombie Island. Was it brought by a friendly alien?
