Star Chart AR - your Augmented Reality Earth (free) and Orrery solar system viewer (premium in-app) has been released early on the App Stores today. It's an early version (semi-BETA) and we intend to improve it over the next weeks. Playing around with Star Chart AR this morning and checking out the position of the planets with respect to each other... looks like Venus is in close proximity to the Earth right now.:

The latest update to Freebie Link on mobile has added what we call the Launch Room - a place to access the various modes within Star Chart directly.Now you can easily jump straight into Sky View, Explore Mode, Moments In Time or review the Tutorial. The Launch Room itself has a lovely relaxing feel and if you stay a while, you might even be able to wish upon a shooting star
