A special mention for Special Weapons Category which came in a close second. Ilya, one of senior programmers, had this to say It's always a great pleasure to work on Special Weapons. They're singled out for a good reason, which is their unique functionality. For example, the Aftershock was so interesting. I teamed up with creative and motivated artists and was able to program the weapon so it became a one of a kind oddity. With a great look and visual effects too. It actually burns zombies' skin while the charge is jumping between targets!

Its Into the Dead 2s 3rd Anniversary week! Today developers discussed their favorite weapon type and Shotguns are a team favorite! They make a loud noise, blast zombies back, and kill multiple enemies in one shot. There's nothing more badass than a shotgun.
