One of the largest and oldest yachting regattas in the world is Cowes Week, which is held annually by the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, England, and usually attracts over 900 sailing boats. Hey hey Funky Players! The seasonal Polynesia regatta is on! Lets talk about the Polynesia Triangle, don't worry it is not the same as the Bermuda Triangle. ... Polynesia is generally defined as the islands within the Polynesian Triangle, although some islands inhabited by Polynesian people are situated outside the Polynesian Triangle. Geographically, the Polynesian Triangle is drawn by connecting the points of Hawaii, New Zealand, and Easter Island. We have learned some new things with this regatta. Hey Funky Bay players! Lets remember about the fruits that saved lives. A lot of you probably guessed what will be discussed. Scurvy is a disease resulting from a lack of vitamin C. Nowadays it is quite rare as we have the vitamins around but in the old days of long sailing it was dangerous. Scurvy can be prevented by a diet that includes vitamin C-rich foods such as bell peppers (sweet peppers), blackcurrants, broccoli, chili peppers, guava, kiwifruit, and parsley. O...ther sources rich in vitamin C are fruits such as lemons, limes, oranges, papaya, and strawberries. So there you go, lemon and orange were the fruits that saved lives of sailors! Today it is Anne Dieu-Le-Veut, also called Marie-Anne, she was a French pirate in 17 century. In March 1693, she met and married the famous buccaneer Laurens de Graaf. He agreed to marry her after she threatened to shoot him for insulting her. Sounds like a real pirate deal! A happy pirate couple. According to some legends, they eventually settled in Louisiana. Dear Funky Bay players! The inter-seasonal regatta is on. This will be on until the next season starts. The next season should start 06 August. ... Inter-season is the time for the neighborhood to sail with its players to the last buoy on the ship without competing with others. Each task gives 1 buoy. When reaching the next milestone everyone from the neighborhood gets the prize that is shown there. Hopefully this gives some time to relax for everyone and just sail until the next regatta starts. Hey Funky Bay players! We are happy to introduce everyone to the new permanent expedition location - the Oasis! Travel to the new lands, discover hidden cave, find obelisks, meet new people. A big map for you to explore without hurry. After creating the new seasonal regattas, we have increased focus on adventures, emphasizing this with three new locations for exploring one permanent and two temporary! ... They will be available gradually. The first one, The Oasis, should be out this week for most of the players. So stay tuned! Hey Funky players! We are proud to say that we are working on one of the freshest updates yet! You, the players, talked a lot about the grass and we have heard you and reworked how it grows. It will grow faster and you will be able to see the timer, so you will be aware. Also we have reworked a bit the sprinkler for the grass. ... More tasks for levels 25 to 50, so that the relaxed game will be more interesting for those that do not want to be in regattas. There is going to be additions to the update, we will tell about them later next week, when the update hits all mobile platforms. We have also prepared a new permanent expedition that will be announced later on when it will be ready. We will write about those and when they will be available in other posts in the future. Hi Funky Bay players! There has been a lot of questions lately about what should a person do if something works not right in the game. If you see something not working right the best thing is to write to support about it and have a screenshot. You see that maybe some items that you win did not appear? Maybe something that you bought did not load? Or maybe there is a technical issue? Or a text error? The support would be glad to hear you out and try to help. ... To write a letter to support look for the button that looks like a bug. All letters to support if sent through the button from inside the game are registered and therefore can not get lost. Unfortunately, the community is not the support and we are not able to help the player with any technical difficulties in the game, sorry. A lot of times you, the active community helped to find a bug quite fast and the team fixed it before it could do more harm. And for that we are grateful, thank you!

Hey funky players! Hope you're having a great weekend. We have a traditional Hawaiian tale for you about Maui. ... MAUI, the hero, was saddened that his mother Hina had too much work to dry kapa (a kind of hawaiian native fabric), because the days were too short. So he went and made ropes out of fiber of the coconut husks in great quantity. He then chose the highest mountain Haleakala because the Sun was closest to it in its path. He captured the strongest beams of the Sun as it were the strongest legs with the rope and broke them. And then the Sun offered a deal it would walk slower during the day in that particular season so that the kapa could be dried and the work done with less effort, and Maui would spare the Sun and let it go. The agreement was made and that is the reason why the days are longer at one season of the year than at another in Hawaii. And do you know any legends? We would be glad to hear you out.

Hey Funky Players! The main theme of this mini update is the new timed location with quests called the Park, that will be available to the players on all platforms later on. Also, there are some minor fixes of the old locations. Some players might have encountered a glitch, when items on the map like stones or trees were offset, this should no longer occur. There should also be no more item price cheaters in the market.
