Regional Variants Explained:

• Truco Paulista: In this variant, the trump cards (manilhas) are not fixed. Instead, the "manilhas" for the current hand are the four cards with a value immediately above the "vira" (the flipped card) in a cyclic order (4-3-2-A-K-J-Q-7-6-5-4-3). These four manilhas are then ranked by suit in descending order: Clubs > Hearts > Spades > Diamonds. All other cards revert to their normal Truco ranking (3-2-A-K-J-Q-7-6-5-4), losing their manilha status.
• Truco Mineiro: This variant features fixed trump cards. The ranking from highest to lowest is: Four of Clubs, Seven of Hearts, Ace of Spades, Seven of Diamonds, followed by Threes, Twos, Aces of Hearts/Clubs/Diamonds, Kings, Jacks, Queens, Black Sevens, Sixes, Fives, and Fours (other than Clubs).
