• Board Setup: Played on an 8x8 board with alternating dark and light squares. Each player starts with 12 pieces on the three rows closest to their side.
• Men Movement: Men move diagonally forward to an adjacent unoccupied square.
• Kinging: A piece reaching the opponent's back row becomes a "king," gaining the ability to move and capture diagonally both forwards and backwards, stopping on any free square along the diagonal.
• Mandatory Captures: Capturing is compulsory. If multiple capture sequences are available, the player chooses which sequence to make and must complete all captures within that chosen sequence. Captured pieces remain on the board until the entire sequence is complete but cannot be jumped again (Turkish capturing rules apply).
• Winning & Drawing: A player loses if they have no valid moves or pieces left. A game is a draw if neither player can win, if the same position repeats three times, or by mutual agreement. Specific draw conditions also apply for three kings against a single enemy king.
