The Season & Playoffs

Your team will play a grueling 16-game regular season, mirroring the intensity of real professional football leagues. Navigate to the "GAMES" tab to view your team's schedule. By clicking on each game, you can access a scouting report of the two teams (for upcoming matches) or a detailed summary of past games.

At the end of the regular season, the playoffs begin! Each division winner is guaranteed a coveted playoff spot, joined by two wildcard teams from each conference, all vying for the ultimate prize.

Roster Management & Player Attributes

When you inherit a team, you'll manage a roster of at least 46 players (including 22 starters). Each player boasts unique attributes critical to their performance:

• Overall Rating: A composite score of position-specific skills.
• Potential Rating: Determines how much a player improves during the offseason.
• Durability Rating: Indicates a player's likelihood of injury.
• Football IQ Rating: A measure of a player's football intelligence, crucial for overall team performance, especially for Quarterbacks and Safeties.

You can view all your players in the "ROSTER" tab, which includes:

• 2 QBs (1 starter): Responsible for throwing passes.
• 4 RBs (2 starters): Ground game powerhouses.
• 6 WRs (3 starters): Catch passes for yards and touchdowns.
• 10 OLs (5 starters): Protect the quarterback.
• 2 Ks (1 starter): Kick extra points and field goals.
• 2 Ss (1 starter): Cover receivers and cause interceptions.
• 6 CBs (3 starters): Shut down opposing wide receivers.
• 8 DLs (4 starters): Stop the run and pressure the quarterback.
• 6 LBs (3 starters): Tackle running backs and occasionally cover receivers.

Each player also has a contract, determined by their position and skill level.

Trading & Strategy

Engage in realistic trading with other teams! Add players or draft picks to the trading block, then view offers from the other 31 teams. Alternatively, target specific players or picks from another team's roster to initiate a trade. While contracts aren't factored into trades for simplicity, acquiring large contracts can impact your ability to sign free agents in the offseason.

As coach, you dictate your team's offensive and defensive strategies throughout the season. Defaulting to "No Preference" offers no bonuses or penalties, but you can dynamically change your strategy. Options include "Aggressive" or "Conservative" for offense, and "No Fly Zone" or "Stack the Box" for defense, allowing you to adapt to any opponent.
