Immigrant Challenge is a unique digital board game designed to foster awareness and understanding of the complex challenges faced by immigrants worldwide. This game transforms a critical social issue into an engaging, interactive experience, allowing players to step into the shoes of an immigrant striving to reach one of the Western countries at the game's center.

Mission & Gameplay:

Developed to illuminate the intricate processes and hurdles immigrants encounter, the game pits 2 to 4 players against each other. Each player represents one of four countries positioned at the corners of the digital board, with the ultimate goal of being the first to successfully enter the central destination country (such as the USA, Germany, France, or Canada). This journey is complicated by the policies set by a fictitious president, Benjamin Montana, making legal entry more complex than before.

Gameplay revolves around "Chance Cards" drawn at the start of each turn. These cards offer various opportunities: advancing spaces, moving to specific locations like an airport, or even pausing for a round. Crucially, Chance Cards also provide opportunities to collect "Skill Cards" and "Asset Cards," which become vital later on. Players can leverage their assets to buy tickets or borrow funds. Upon reaching the "wall" of the central country, players attempting legal entry are assessed based on their accumulated Skills and Assets. Alternatively, Chance Cards may present paths for illegal entry, such as tunnels or illicit travel, which bypass the assessment but carry their own unique risks and benefits. Both legal and illegal routes offer a chance at victory.

Multiplayer Modes:

Immigrant Challenge supports robust multiplayer play for 2 to 4 participants via a local-host/Wi-Fi network or over the Internet. The internet version requires careful timing, with a brief waiting period for joining players after the host initiates. Detailed instructions within the app guide players through the connection process, ensuring a smooth setup for your game session.
