Rules of FreeCell Solitaire
- Game Goal: Your primary objective is to construct four foundation piles in the upper-right corner. Each pile must be built from Ace (low card) to King (high card) and contain only one suit.
- Card Ranks: In FreeCell, Kings are the highest cards, and Aces are the lowest. All four foundation piles must begin with an Ace and conclude with a King.
- Tableau Movement: You can move cards between columns in the tableau. Cards placed in columns must always be in descending order and alternate between red and black colors (e.g., a red 6 can be placed on a black 7).
- Free Cells: The upper-left corner houses four "free cells," providing critical temporary storage spots where you can place any single card during play, enabling more complex strategic maneuvers.
- Foundation Caution: Once a card is moved to a foundation, it cannot be retrieved. While the undo function is available, using it might reduce your chances of achieving a 3-star rating, so plan your foundation moves carefully.
- Stack Movement Logic: Moving a sequential stack of cards is conceptually the same as moving each card individually through available free spaces and then back to the board. Therefore, you can only move a stack if you have enough empty free cells to facilitate the entire transfer.
