Basic Tactics

• Know the board - The board is composed of a 19x19 grid and the main objective is to capture as much territory as possible.
• Attack in groups - When attacking, try to group your pieces together so they can be more effective.
• Defend your territory - As you gain territory, make sure to defend it so your opponent can't take it away.
• Be flexible - Adapt to your opponent's moves and try to anticipate their next move.

Advanced Tactics

• Analyze your opponent's weaknesses - Look for any weaknesses your opponent has and use them to your advantage.
• Study pro games - Watch professional Go games and learn from their strategies and tactics.
• Create ko threats - Ko threats are moves that will force your opponent to respond in a certain way or else lose the game.
• Know when to pass - Passing is a valid strategy when things are not going your way or when the game is in a stalemate.
