How to Play
A game of Call Break consists of five deals. The play proceeds counter-clockwise. The first player leads with any card, establishing the led suit. Subsequent players must follow suit if they can. If a player does not have a card of the led suit, they may play any other card, including a trump (Spade). The highest card of the led suit wins the trick, unless a Spade is played, in which case the highest ranked Spade wins. The winner of a round leads the next trick. Each deal comprises 13 rounds of play.
Bidding and Scoring
Before each deal, players make a "call" or "bid," estimating the number of tricks they expect to win. Successfully meeting or exceeding your bid earns you points, while failing to do so results in a penalty. Strategize your bids and plays to maximize your score and emerge victorious.
