The Multiplier.
Task 1: Eliminate many jewels in one move to get a multiplier. Match the multiplied jewel to enhance the multiplier.
Solution: Match as many jewels in one move either horizontally, vertically or both. Keep matching the multiplied jewel in succession within time limit.
Task 2: Solve 100 jewels in 10 seconds.
Solution: Remove 100 jewels from the play area in 10 seconds.
